A Season of one act plays

The plays on the agenda for this season of One Act Plays will be:

Mother Figure - A comedy written by Alan Ayckbourn

Directed by Fran Kendall

This play takes a look at what happens to young mother, Lucy, when she spends all of her time at home looking after the  kids. Come and see what happens when the neighbours pop in for a cuppa! This little gem is directed by Fran Kendall who,  you might remember, directed the very popular Lipstick Dreams in 2008 and also starred in 70 Girls 70 for GMS last year.

The cast includes:
Jen Francis, Peter Santangelo
and Cathy Stone.

The Cluttered Nest
- A comedy written by
long time WWLT member Joan Dalgleish , a published children’s author and Actor.

Directed by Barbara Hickey, President and long time veteran of WWLT.

Tom and Jean, a middle aged couple, are enjoying their life together as ‘empty nesters’. A late night phone call threatens to change all of that.  Joan Dalgleish's portrayal of the iron fisted Nun, Sister Aloysius, in Doubt last year will be one we will remember for a very long time.

The cast includes:
Christine Vale, Graham Vale,
Bradley Death, Lyndsay Doyle
and Susannah Kerr.

The Real Inspector Hound
-  A ‘whodunit’ Written by Tom Stoppard

Directed by  Penny Dilworth

The plot follows two theatre critics named Moon and Birdboot who are watching a ludicrous setup of a country house murder mystery, in the style of a whodunit. By chance, they become involved in the action causing a series of events that parallel the play they are watching.

Directed by another of our fine Actors, Penny Dilworth, also Treasurer of WWLT. Penny was last seen as Magda in the hilarious Key For Two in February.

The cast includes:
Annie Bilton, Nigel Stanley, Hilda Bird, Paul Karton, Laura Scott,
Amanda Benson, John Scealy
and Alan Mitchell.

Performance dates will be from May 22 -  31.

Fridays 8pm, Saturdays 8pm & Sundays 2pm
